Assembleon’s Vice President Burkhardt Frick introduced a new piece of equipment, the AX501. Along with equipment introduction, Assembleon is using this equipment release to introduce a new program where customers can rent the equipment during the peak manufacturing season.

Some companies are recent entries into the solar market. Indium Corporation has a long history in this arena. Technical Manager David Hu from Indium (Su Zhou) Corporation discusses his company’s progress in the solar market. He discusses the HFR-free trend in China with EMS007 China Editor Edy Yu.

Technical support engineer Mr. Wen from Indium (Shen Zhen) Corporation presented a paper “Addressing the Challenge of Head-in-Pillow Defects in Electronics Assembly.” He also had some interesting comments about halogen-free electronic assemblies.

Mr. Eric Chen, north Asia sales director for OK International discusses the company’s new logistics center, which makes it more convenient to service its Chinese customer base. OKI also plans to expand its solar engine business in China over the next few years.

It’s been a couple of months since Hardy Huang was promoted to P. Kay Metal’s China Manager. One of the changes Huang implemented was exhibiting at Nepcon South China. Huang discusses how the market has reacted to a lower cost MS2 product that is expected to dominate imitation products.

Pingo Erzeugnisse is a company with a very long history and is a leader in the European automotive market. The company is now trying to capitalize on renewed demand in the China market. Klaus Spengler discusses one of the company’s chemical products that can be use on PCB circuitry to protect the electronic parts.

While show organizers are frequently the target when exhibition attendance is down—even in a bad economy-Nepcon is still attracting a lot of attention and drawing a large number of attendees. Reed Exhibitions East China Vice President Josephine Lee anticipated the poor timing of the SMT exhibition and pushed several initiatives forward to ensure a good return for its exhibitors.

But also discusses his company’s relationship with SMTA China, and how it is supporting the technical conference here in Shenzhen.

Vi Technology is a privately held company with 15 years of experience in the global AOI market. Yet they also have a long history of manufacturing ovens for SMT market. Vi Technology Asia-Pacific CEO William Tan discusses his company’s past and its future in the Chinese oven market. He also elaborates on a new joint venture company, Vi-DC, here in China that will manufacture ovens with European quality at Chinese prices.

EMS007 interviewed Mr, Tang Liyun, the sales manager of YXLON Industrial X-Ray Ltd. Shanghai branch office. In China, the YXLON team has 10 members and is making great strides in the x-ray market.
